Economic sustainability
We consider efficient resource use and the long-term economic value of transport solutions.
About
Based in Lüleburgaz, Türkiye, 4ERA focuses on transport modelling, mobility data analysis, and software and consultancy solutions that support these fields.
Four eras, one future
The name 4ERA, meaning “four eras”, reflects our commitment to considering these four foundations as a whole.
Field measurements, mobility records and spatial data.
Transport modelling · Data analysis · Software · Consultancy
Four objectives considered together
We consider efficient resource use and the long-term economic value of transport solutions.
We assess environmental impacts and develop solutions that support their reduction.
We consider accessibility, different users’ needs and social benefit together.
We support long-term transport decisions with modelling, mobility data and multiple layers of assessment.
Transport challenges call for more than a single data source or evaluation criterion. We bring different data sources and layers of assessment together to consider the economic, environmental and social effects of transport.
Transport modelling and mobility data analysis are at the heart of our work. We combine activity-based and multimodal models, field data and spatial analysis with supporting software and consultancy solutions to offer decision-makers practical options.
Disciplines
Junction capacity and signals, queue and delay analysis, geometric design, access management and road safety.
Land use and density, accessibility, walking and cycling networks, transit-oriented development and the transport effects of planning decisions.
Activity-based and multimodal demand models, microsimulation, field and survey data, GIS analysis, model calibration and visualisation.
Software supporting data processing, analysis and modelling; translating findings into decision-making and technical consultancy.
Mission
To develop transport modelling, mobility data analysis, and supporting software and consultancy solutions that promote efficient resource use, reduced environmental impacts, improved accessibility and greater social benefit.
Vision
To contribute to a sustainable future by addressing transport challenges through different data sources and layers of assessment together. Our vision rests on economic sustainability, environmental sustainability, social sustainability and sustainable transport.
Principles
The existing situation comes from the field. We do not apply published trip rates without testing them against local conditions.
Trip generation, mode split and growth assumptions are stated and justified in the report, so every result is traceable.
Besides delay and queues we assess pedestrian crossing time, road safety and public transport access with separate indicators.
Land-use decisions (use, density, floor area ratio) and transport infrastructure are assessed side by side.
Share the location, land use and, if any, the authority’s request. We will agree scope, data needs and programme in the first call.
